Talky Orcs is a series of short, character-driven animated conversations set in the quiet gaps and occasional chaos of fantasy warfare. It follows Ragnar and Bolgo, two ordinary orc grunts who are polite, thoughtful, and far more self-aware than their battlefield reputation suggests. The tone is dry, warm, and lightly philosophical, balancing calm discussions about duty, fear, and friendship with sudden bursts of action that remind you these conversations are happening in a dangerous world. The humor comes from contrast: thoughtful orcs navigating a setting that expects them to be anything but.
Along the way, the shorts introduce moments of scrappy combat, unexpected heroics, and a parade of quirky side characters—each bringing their own peculiar logic to the battlefield. Ragnar and Bolgo find themselves debating orders mid-crisis, reacting calmly to escalating absurdity, and stumbling into small hijinks born from boredom, sincerity, or misplaced confidence. Originally released by AFK and animated by Peter Haynes, Talky Orcs is now owned by ZOE, which is preparing to release the complete Season 1 alongside an all-new Season 2—bringing back the action, the oddballs, and the thoughtful pauses that define the series.
