It looks like people are enjoying the rewards program so far.

Comments/Questions (Quemments)

PT indicates there are five ways to get point each day: visit, comment, tweet (twitter), like (facebook), and +1 (google+). From what I can tell the ZOE rewards system has not been recognizing the google+.

In Beau's post, he mentioned points for blogging -- is that blogging on our own websites with links that point to ZOE, or is that writing a blog entry here on the ZOE site (the equivalent of a comment)?

And last (for now), what is a digital badge? I suspected it was something that popped up in a user's profile but haven't seen anything yet.

Cheers,

Seth

Short answer: Correct, and that would be writing blogs here. Digital badges aren't automated yet -- that will show up by hand on our end.

Longer answer: The rewards platform can be enabled for any action on the site, but we need to solve a javascript loading issue to make it work properly for some actions, including posting a blog. The Google + issue is a mystery that we'll keep pounding away at. We're glad you're enjoying the rewards system -- if it turns out to be popular we'll keep it around.

Thanks for the answers.

More rewards questions --

  1. What is the difference between a Lvl 2 digital badge and a Lvl 4 digital badge?
  2. Can the same level be purchased more than once? Except for multiple copies of free signed stuff at the upper levels, would there be any benefit to do so?
  3. Do the badges have to be purchased in numerical order or can someone save all their points up for the Lvl 10?

These questions are to troubleshoot the program and identify potential FAQs and not intended to harass you. Zoe Adastra knows you've got a quintillion other irons in the fire (ergo, replying is a low priority).

Off topic -- Other forums typically identify a person (as an agent of the company) rather than a generic company reply. Are ZOE replies intentionally anon?

Cheers, Seth

More Rewards Troubleshooting...

RE: Points for Tweeting
I tweeted a few other links first, but the only time the system awarded today's points for tweeting was when I clicked the tweet button from the PT leaderboard pop-up page.

RE: Points for Posting/Commenting
Also, I re-posted your facebook link to the Secretly-Important interview and commented on it. In both cases, no points.

RE: Points for Google+
Still not working.

RE: Points for Like and for Visiting
Both seem to be working fine, no problems to report.

Drudging this up --

Any progress on having tweets about ZOE's content count for reward points (from what I can tell it still only coughs up a +100, if the tweet is about how awesome the PunchTab rewards program is).

Try it now.

It worked but it was work...

I was able to go to a page within ZOE (http://www.zombieorpheus.com/video/ep-17-rude-mechanical [Great episode, BTW], click the Rewards flag, toggle over to Post to Twitter in the punchtab pop-up, then sign-in, edit and submit the tweet (leaving the link and @punchtab alone). It posted to my twitter account fine (linking to e17 rather than the ZOE homepage) and I received points for it.

So hurray for progress, however it was a lot more work than clicking the FB like button. #backhandedcompliment

I see that the twitter quick-link button is back, however it is not connected to the rewards. Does a tweet need to have the @punchtab text in it to count?

Umm, so, the Punchtab rewards system is still breathing but is otherwise critically injured. It doesn't remember that I *already* Like Zombie Orpheus Entertainment on Facebook, the Tweet system gives me "Sorry, something went wrong :(" and the points tallying algorithm is busted all to Hell. Oh, and this is new:

I mean to have a Level 10 reward, I say; have at the CCS-dragon until it submits! (Thank you :D )

Leslie is it still a problem? I just ran the circuit and everything seems to be working fine now (well, except for Google+, but then that's always been broken (hint hint :) )). Maybe the IT ninjas were eating their pizza this morning.

Well, on Android 3 I can't see the Rewards tab at all (no big), and all those other errors were on my Windows 7 netbook. Could it just be OS incompatability? (*Is this a subliminal attempt to get more folks to switch to Mac?) ;-)

I have the same problem with Windoze 7. No problems with Android or Vista...

Maybe the answer to this is somewhere and I haven't seen it.I was wondering, when you redeem a prize does that use up your points?
